Area 46 Treatment Committee

Treatment Committee

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Area 46 Treatment Committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment and outpatient settings.

What We Do

Volunteers outreach to treatment facilities in their district to make administrators aware that A.A. can provide their clients with assistance in recovery as well as transition those clients who are interested in maintaining their sobriety to migrate to the fellowship outside the treatment setting.

Get Involved (A.A.Members)

Any member of Alcoholics Anonymous within Area 46 can get involved in our committee. If you would like more information about getting involved start here.

For Professionals

If you are a professional at a treatment facility and would like an A.A. Meeting or Literature brought into your facility, please contact our Area Treatment Chair.

A.A. has a long-standing relationship with treatment facilities beginning with our founders. While the success of treatment facilities to get people sober is unquestioned, it is essential in almost all cases to stay sober to provide the long-term support that the A.A. groups provide. Therefore, this area of service puts the A.A. member in the front line to aid the still suffering alcoholic and supports the sobriety of the member in service.
