Any A.A. member living in District 18 can get involved in our district committee. If you would like more information about getting involved start here.

I have lived in Bernalillo my whole life but did not participate in AA there until a few years ago. I was so attracted to the AA members in D-18. Many have service commitments at all levels in their home groups, District and Area. They are welcoming to all in the fellowship. I am so grateful to be a part of in District 18. Please join us as we trudge the road to happy destiny while carrying the message to the still suffering Alcoholic.

Fun Fact about District 18

Formed January 1, 2008, District 18 was the result of splitting District 11. Rio Rancho, and all of the outlying Sandoval County meetings left District 11 and became District 18. Stretching from Cuba to Rio Rancho to Placitas to Cochiti, the nearly 40 Groups of District 18 carry the message to both metropolitan and rural communities.

Active in Service, District 18 has hosted Assemblies, co-hosted a State Convention, and one of our Young Peoples Groups hosted the Annual NMCYPAA Conference. Many qualified Area Trusted Servants have come from District 18.

This District hosts an annual Intergroup Speaker’s Meeting, and Founder’s Day picnic each June, and various workshop events.
