Hello Area 46!
The Hybrid Events Production service work is off to a running start! Here are some highlights:
- Very nearly all of the Area’s service committees chairs now have a reserved time slot for their monthly online zoom meetings.
- We have inventoried equipment and updated several of the laptops.
- We supported the Pre-conference Assembly Planning Meeting / Orientation on Jan 31 and I learned a lot very quickly! I’m grateful for the help from the experienced members of our committee as well as patience when I forgot an important box of stuff. We also learned something about Zoom and its security features that caused some unplanned challenges with displaying files in the main room and related difficulties in the DCM breakout room. So hopefully that will not happen again.
We have our regularly scheduled monthly meeting this coming Tuesday February 17, 7:00pm (link is on the nm-aa.org Events calendar). We will be discussing the help we need for supporting the March Pre-conference Assembly in Silver City. If you are experienced with Zoom, we are looking for help to support our tireless Zoom hosts! Please volunteer, it’s fun and a great way to be of service!
We will also be discussing recruiting help from online groups for their experience and inclusivity. We still have the topic of online technology that can be used for improved voting in reliability and accountability, and our AA Third Legacy procedure.
